This book honours the old National Library of Latvia headquarters building on Elizabetas Street, Riga. It shows images of the interior and exterior of the library, accompanied by text that references signficant books, writers and cultural and other events in the history of Latvia. The title, SPOGULIS, means mirror. Like the larger, site specific work that was installed on the exterior windows of the library in 2007, also called SPOGULIS,  it is based on the idea that a library is a reflection of the culture and society which it serves.
